Genuine Mazda Front & Rear Camber Adjustment / Alignment Bolt Kit
Three-piece Genuine Mazda camber-adjustment kit for all Mazda MX-5 Mk3, Mk3.5 and Mk3.75 NC models with 1.8- or 2.0-litre petrol engines.
This eccentric alignment assembly is used in both the front and rear suspension. At the front, it is fitted at the front mounting point of the front lower wishbone to adjust front camber. The same component arrangement is used at the applicable rear suspension-arm mounting point to adjust rear camber.
Rotating the eccentric adjustment bolt and cam plate moves the suspension-arm mounting point within its adjustment range. This allows the wheel camber angle to be set accurately during four-wheel geometry alignment.
Correct camber helps maintain consistent tyre contact, predictable handling and even tyre wear. Corroded, seized or damaged adjustment hardware can prevent the suspension geometry from being adjusted correctly.
Each kit contains one Genuine Mazda eccentric adjustment bolt, one Genuine Mazda cam plate and one Genuine Mazda flanged nut. Four assemblies are used across the vehicle: one at each front lower-wishbone camber-adjustment position and one at each corresponding rear camber-adjustment position.

Typical reasons for replacement:
- Eccentric bolt seized inside the suspension-bush sleeve
- Adjustment bolt or cam plate heavily corroded
- Cam plate distorted or damaged
- Bolt threads damaged or cross-threaded
- Nut seized, rounded or damaged during removal
- Adjustment hardware no longer moves through its full range
- Camber cannot be set correctly during wheel alignment
- Front lower wishbone or rear suspension arm being replaced
- Original hardware cut out during suspension repairs
- Incorrect non-eccentric hardware previously installed
Quantity advice: This listing supplies one three-piece adjustment kit for one suspension mounting point. Four kits are used across the complete vehicle: two at the front and two at the rear.
Front fitment advice: At the front suspension, this kit is used at the front mounting point of the lower wishbone to adjust camber. It should not be confused with the separate castor-adjustment kit used at the rear mounting point of the same wishbone.
Rear fitment advice: The same adjustment bolt and cam arrangement is used at the designated rear suspension-arm mounting position to adjust rear camber.
Replacement advice: Where an eccentric bolt has seized inside a suspension-bush sleeve, removal may require cutting the original hardware. Inspect the corresponding bush and inner sleeve before fitting the replacement kit.
Bush inspection: Check the associated suspension-arm bush for splitting, deterioration, excessive movement or separation from its sleeve. Replacement alignment hardware will not correct a worn or damaged bush.
Mounting-point inspection: Inspect the subframe adjustment slots and cam-plate seating surfaces for corrosion, distortion, elongation or impact damage. The eccentric cam must seat correctly against its locating surfaces.
Alignment advice: Mark the original cam position before dismantling to provide an approximate initial setting. A professional four-wheel geometry alignment is required after installation.
Tightening advice: Position the suspension as required by the applicable Mazda workshop procedure before final tightening. Set the eccentric adjustment during alignment and tighten the nut using the correct specification for the installation position.
Other items to inspect: Check the corresponding suspension-arm bushes, ball joints, opposite-side adjustment hardware, front castor adjusters and the remaining rear alignment components while the vehicle is raised.
Useful tools / consumables: Vehicle lift or axle stands, socket and spanner set, breaker bar, calibrated torque wrench, penetrating fluid, alignment reference marker, cutting equipment where seized hardware must be removed and suitable corrosion protection.
Difficulty guide: DIY Difficulty: Moderate to Advanced. Replacement is relatively straightforward where the original hardware remains free, but seized bolts and bush sleeves can substantially increase the work required.
Why Genuine Mazda? Genuine Mazda alignment hardware matches the original bolt dimensions, eccentric offset, cam-plate profile, thread and mounting arrangement. Accurate eccentric geometry is essential for retaining the intended suspension-alignment adjustment range.
What’s in the box: One Genuine Mazda eccentric adjustment bolt, part number F151-28-66Z; one Genuine Mazda cam plate, part number F151-28-473; and one Genuine Mazda flanged nut, part number 9YB04-1406A.
Installation notes: Raise and support the vehicle safely, then mark the position of the original eccentric cam before removal. Remove the nut, cam plate and adjustment bolt, using suitable cutting methods if the bolt is seized inside the bush sleeve. Clean and inspect the bush, mounting slots and cam seating surfaces. Install the replacement components in the correct orientation, start the nut by hand and position the eccentric close to its recorded setting. Tighten according to the Mazda workshop procedure and complete a full four-wheel geometry alignment before normal road use.
