Engine Oil Pump (RIDEX Part No. 596O0166 — OE ref L310-14-100C).
Draws and pressurises engine oil to lubricate bearings, camshafts and timing components, helping maintain stable oil pressure across the rev range.
You’ll typically see it on Mazda 3 (BK) & Mazda 6 (GG/GY) with the 2.3L MZR, and MX-5 with the 1.8/2.0 MZR; see our compatibility table or verify fitment using VIN/chassis.
Commonly replaced if there’s low oil-pressure warnings, noisy valvetrain/knock at idle, internal wear or scoring, or during high-mileage rebuilds and preventative maintenance.
