Cobra Sport MZ17 Centre Exit Lower Rear Panel Diffuser

Purpose-designed Cobra Sport centre-exit lower rear panel diffuser for Mazda MX-5 Mk4 / ND 1.5 and 2.0 models from 2015 onwards fitted with a compatible Cobra Sport centre-exit exhaust system.

The Cobra Sport MZ17 transforms the rear of the MX-5 ND to accommodate Cobra Sport's distinctive centre-exit exhaust layout, providing a clean, integrated finish around the twin centrally positioned exhaust outlets.

Rather than using a universal trim or adapting the original bumper opening, the MZ17 has been developed specifically for the MX-5 ND and Cobra Sport's centre-exit exhaust arrangement. Its shape and mounting points are designed to work with the original rear bumper assembly while positioning the exhaust outlets neatly within the purpose-made centre opening.

Fitment advice: This panel is intended for use alongside the compatible Cobra Sport centre-exit exhaust system. For the best finished appearance, the exhaust and diffuser should be trial-fitted and aligned together before the panel is permanently secured, allowing the twin exhaust outlets to be positioned evenly within the centre opening.

Other items to consider: A compatible Cobra Sport centre-exit exhaust system is required to complete the conversion and is sold separately. The panel also requires preparation and painting before final fitment, so allow for bodyshop preparation and refinishing when planning the installation.

Useful tools / consumables: Suitable trim-removal tools, masking and marking equipment, appropriate cutting tools for modification of the original lower rear panel, cleaning and degreasing materials, and bodywork preparation / painting materials. Installation adhesive is supplied with the panel.

Difficulty guide: Advanced / professional fitting recommended. Installation requires modification of the original lower rear panel, accurate alignment with the centre-exit exhaust and preparation and painting of the replacement panel before final installation.

Installation / setup notes: Installation requires an incision to be made in the original lower rear panel before the MZ17 is positioned over the OE panel and secured using the supplied adhesive. The panel is supplied unfinished with a non-UV-protective base coating and must be properly prepared and painted before final installation. Professional bodyshop fitting is recommended for the cleanest finished result.
