Replacement Quinton Hazell ignition / HT lead set for Mazda MX-5 MK1/NA 1.6 and 1.8, MK2/NB 1.6 and 1.8, and compatible MK2.5/NB-FL applications listed in the compatibility table.

The ignition leads carry the high-voltage electrical output from the ignition coils to the spark plugs. XC650 is supplied as a complete four-lead set and is designed as an aftermarket replacement for the original components.

Worn or deteriorated ignition leads can contribute to misfires, hesitation, poor starting, uneven running and reduced ignition performance. Fitment advice: XC650 is suitable for the MX-5 applications shown in the compatibility table. It is not suitable for the later naturally aspirated 1.8 VVTi engine where the ignition coil arrangement differs. For imported, modified or previously repaired cars, matching the part number or component style on the part being replaced is recommended.

Other items to consider: When replacing ignition leads, inspect the spark plugs and ignition coils and consider replacing worn spark plugs at the same time.

Useful tools / consumables: Spark plug socket, socket set, dielectric grease where appropriate and compressed air or a suitable method of cleaning around the spark plug wells.
