Mishimoto MMRAD-MIA-90 is a direct-fit performance aluminium radiator for Mazda MX-5 MK1 / NA 1.6 and 1.8 models with manual transmission, designed to provide increased cooling capacity and heat dissipation compared with the original-style radiator.
Designed specifically around the first-generation Mazda MX-5 / Miata NA cooling system, this radiator uses 100% aluminium construction with durable TIG-welded end tanks and an efficient two-row brazed aluminium core.
The core measures approximately 1.97" / 50 mm thick and the radiator has a published coolant capacity of 1.79 US gallons / approximately 6.78 litres. The increased core thickness and fluid capacity make it particularly suitable for MX-5s operating under demanding road, modified or track conditions where additional cooling capacity is desirable.
Mishimoto specifies MMRAD-MIA-90 for manual-transmission vehicles. Automatic-transmission applications require separate transmission-fluid cooling provision and are therefore not included in this MazSpec fitment.

Fitment
Designed for Mazda MX-5 MK1 / NA models with 1.6 or 1.8 litre engines and manual transmission. Mishimoto specifies the radiator for 1990-1997 MX-5 / Miata applications and identifies the compatible NA6C / NA8C chassis family.
Installation uses the vehicle's original radiator location and requires the cooling system to be drained before removal of the existing radiator. Once fitted, the system should be correctly refilled and bled. This is also a sensible opportunity to inspect the radiator hoses, hose clamps, thermostat and coolant condition.
