The Pipercross PK364 Viper Air Intake System is a complete vehicle-specific induction kit designed to replace the original Mazda airbox and associated intake hose arrangement on compatible MX-5 NC models.

The system uses an enclosed Pipercross performance filter assembly together with a silicone intake hose and cold-air-feed hose. The original Mazda mass air flow sensor is transferred from the factory airbox to the Pipercross filter assembly, while the supplied cold-air-feed hose connects into the original Mazda cold-air ducting.

PK364 is listed for Mazda MX-5 NC 1.8 and 2.0 models within the supported 2006–2012 production range. This covers both the original NC and the earlier NC facelift period, but later 2013–2015 Mk3.75 / NC3 applications are not included because sufficiently strong product-specific fitment evidence has not been established.

Fitment Advice

Installation requires removal of the original airbox and intake hose. The supplied mounting bracket is secured using existing throttle-body bolts, the original MAF sensor is removed from the Mazda airbox and installed onto the Pipercross filter assembly, and the supplied cold-air-feed hose connects into the original Mazda cold-air duct.

The battery should be disconnected before installation. Once fitted, check all hose clips, brackets, connections and fasteners carefully and ensure there are no intake air leaks.

For imported, modified or previously repaired cars, matching the part number, dimensions and intake specification of the component being replaced is recommended.

Installation Notes
