Mishimoto MMRAD-MIA-06 is a direct-fit performance aluminium radiator for Mazda MX-5 MK3 / NC 1.8 and 2.0 models with manual transmission, designed to increase cooling-system capacity and heat-exchange surface area compared with the original radiator.
Developed specifically for the NC-generation MX-5, this radiator uses an all-aluminium, two-row construction with a 34 mm thick core. It is intended as a performance cooling upgrade for cars exposed to more demanding operating conditions, including modified road cars and vehicles used for prolonged high-load or track driving.
Mishimoto publishes a 114% increase in core volume, 51% increase in fluid capacity, 92% increase in fin surface area and 112% increase in core thickness compared with the factory radiator. These figures are Mishimoto's measurements for this specific radiator and illustrate the increased cooling capacity of the upgraded design.
The radiator is designed around the original NC mounting arrangement and is supplied with the necessary Mishimoto mounting hardware together with a magnetic drain plug.

Fitment
Designed for Mazda MX-5 MK3 / NC manual-transmission models. Mishimoto specifies the application as 2006-2015 and specifically states that this radiator is suitable for manual-transmission vehicles only. It is not intended for automatic-transmission models.
Installation follows the original radiator mounting arrangement using the supplied hardware. The cooling system will need to be drained before installation and correctly refilled and bled afterwards.
