Suitable when replacing a dirty, damaged or ageing standard air-filter element, or where a washable and reusable Pipercross performance filter is preferred in place of the conventional disposable paper filter.

Fitment Advice

PP1952 fits directly into the original Mazda airbox and is suitable for both 1.5 and 2.0-litre MX-5 ND applications. Remove the existing filter, clear any loose debris from the housing and install the Pipercross element with its sealing edge correctly located before securing the airbox.

The application covers both soft-top MX-5 and RF models where the standard factory airbox is retained. For imported, modified or previously repaired cars, matching the part number, dimensions and intake specification of the component being replaced is recommended.

Cleaning & Maintenance

The Pipercross performance filter is washable and reusable. When servicing is required, remove loose contamination, apply an appropriate Pipercross air-filter cleaner, rinse using warm low-pressure water and allow the filter to dry naturally before refitting.

Pipercross Dirt Retention Additive may be used where appropriate but is not automatically required for normal road use. Avoid excessive application.

Installation Notes
