Replacement RIDEX rear anti-roll bar drop link / stabiliser link for Mazda MX-5 Mk3 / Mk3.5 / Mk3.75 NC 1.8 and 2.0 models.
Installation position: Rear axle, left or right. MazSpec confirms the same component is used on both rear sides and that 2 links are required per vehicle.
The drop link connects the anti-roll bar to the rear suspension, transmitting suspension movement into the anti-roll bar to help control body roll. Wear in the joints can cause knocking or rattling from the rear suspension, particularly over uneven surfaces.

Common replacement reasons: Knocking or rattling from the rear suspension, excessive joint movement, worn ball joints, split protective boots, corrosion or deterioration discovered during suspension or shock-absorber servicing.
Other items to consider: Inspect the opposite rear drop link, rear anti-roll-bar mounting bushes, dampers, springs, suspension arms and ball joints while the vehicle is raised.
Useful tools / consumables: Socket and spanner set, penetrating fluid, torque wrench and suitable equipment for safely raising and supporting the vehicle.
Difficulty guide: DIY Difficulty: Easy to Moderate. The replacement procedure is straightforward, although corrosion or seized ball-joint studs can make removal more difficult.
Why RIDEX? RIDEX suspension components provide a cost-effective aftermarket replacement manufactured to application-specific dimensions. This steel 85 mm coupling rod is designed as an OE-equivalent replacement for the original Mazda rear stabiliser link.
What’s in the box: One RIDEX 3229S0362 rear anti-roll bar drop link. Two are required to replace both rear links.
Installation notes: Raise and support the vehicle safely before dismantling suspension components. Remove the original link and inspect the anti-roll bar and mounting points for damage or corrosion. Install the replacement in the correct orientation and tighten all fasteners to the applicable Mazda specifications. Replacing both rear links together is recommended where wear is similar on both sides.
