The EBC PD14KF690 front brake kit combines a complete axle set of EBC Bluestuff NDX performance brake pads with a matched pair of EBC GD Sport dimpled and grooved front brake discs. It provides a direct-fit performance braking package for compatible Mazda MX-5 NC models, suitable for serious fast-road driving and lighter trackday use.

Bluestuff NDX Brake Pads

EBC Bluestuff NDX is a high-friction 0.52 Mu performance compound developed for demanding fast-road driving, trackdays and entry-level club-level use. It provides useful braking performance from cold while offering the temperature capability and fade resistance required for more demanding driving than a conventional road-focused brake pad.

Bluestuff NDX pads are heat scorched during manufacture to assist the bedding process. EBC currently positions NDX for fast-road and lighter track work, and the DP51774NDX application is listed as both R90 approved and track suitable.

EBC GD Sport Brake Discs

The matching GD1505 discs use EBC's GD Sport wide-aperture groove and blind-dimple design. The grooves help clear brake dust, water, gases and debris from the braking surface while helping manage temperatures during repeated braking.

The dimples provide a degassing effect without passing completely through the disc and should not be confused with conventional fully cross-drilled brake discs.

The GD1505 retains the original 290mm diameter, 22mm thickness and 5 x 114.3mm mounting arrangement used by the compatible MX-5 NC front braking system, allowing the kit to be installed without a big-brake conversion.

Fitment Advice:

This kit is for the 290mm vented front disc and Advics front brake system used on compatible Mazda MX-5 NC models.

For imported, modified or previously repaired cars, matching the part number or component style on the part being replaced is recommended.

Brake discs should be installed onto thoroughly cleaned and corrosion-free hub faces. Disc runout should be checked where appropriate, and all brake fasteners should be tightened to the correct Mazda torque specifications.

New Bluestuff pads and GD discs must be progressively bedded in according to EBC's current bedding procedure before being subjected to sustained heavy braking or track use.
