Yellowstuff Brake Pads

EBC Yellowstuff is a high-friction performance brake pad developed primarily for fast-road use. It provides strong braking performance from cold together with increased resistance to repeated heavy braking, making it well suited to enthusiast-driven MX-5s where greater braking capability is required than from a conventional everyday replacement pad.

The DP41685R pads are fully shimmed, chamfered and slotted and incorporate EBC's Brake-In™ surface coating to assist initial bedding. EBC currently lists this application as ECE R90 approved.

EBC currently positions Yellowstuff primarily as a fast-street / fast-road compound. Although capable of demanding performance use once correctly bedded, EBC lists DP41685R as not being its preferred track pad. For regular circuit use, Bluestuff or one of EBC's dedicated motorsport compounds should be considered.

EBC lists another Yellowstuff rear pad configuration for other NB Sport applications, so the 275mm disc diameter alone should not be used to determine that PD03KR424 is correct.

For imported, modified or previously repaired cars, matching the part number or component style on the part being replaced is recommended.

Rear brake discs should be installed onto thoroughly cleaned and corrosion-free hub faces. Care should be taken when servicing the rear calipers because the mechanical handbrake mechanism is incorporated into the rear caliper assembly. All fasteners should be tightened to the appropriate Mazda torque specifications.

New pads and discs should be progressively bedded according to EBC's current bedding procedure before sustained heavy braking.
