Fits Mazda MX-5 Mk4 / ND and RF 2.0 models from 2015-2025 using the standard 280mm vented front brake discs with Advics front calipers. Not suitable for models fitted with the factory Brembo front brake package.

The EBC PD03KF1520 front brake kit combines a complete axle set of EBC Yellowstuff performance brake pads with a matched pair of EBC Premium OE Replacement plain front brake discs. It provides a complete direct-fit braking package for compatible 2.0-litre Mazda MX-5 ND and RF models using the standard Advics front braking system.

Yellowstuff Brake Pads

EBC Yellowstuff is a high-friction performance brake pad developed primarily for fast-road use. It provides strong braking performance from cold together with increased resistance to repeated heavy braking, making it particularly well suited to enthusiast-driven MX-5s where greater braking capability is required than from a conventional everyday replacement pad.

The DP42263R pads are fully shimmed, slotted and chamfered and incorporate EBC's Brake-In™ surface coating to assist initial bedding. This application is ECE R90 approved for road use.

EBC currently positions Yellowstuff principally as a fast-street / fast-road compound. Although capable of handling demanding braking conditions, EBC no longer recommends Yellowstuff as its preferred compound for dedicated circuit use because of the longer bedding process. For regular track use, Bluestuff or one of EBC's dedicated motorsport compounds is the more appropriate choice.

EBC Premium OE Replacement Brake Discs

The matching D2033 discs are EBC Premium plain brake discs designed as direct replacements for the original front rotors. They retain the standard 280mm diameter, 22mm thickness and 4 x 100mm mounting arrangement used by the compatible 2.0-litre MX-5 ND / RF front braking system.

The plain braking surface makes this kit particularly suitable for customers wanting the increased friction characteristics of Yellowstuff pads while retaining a conventional OE-style front disc rather than moving to a grooved, slotted or dimpled performance rotor.

Fitment Advice:

This kit is specifically for the 2.0-litre MX-5 ND / RF using the standard 280mm vented front discs with Advics front calipers.

PD03KF1520 is not suitable for Brembo-equipped models. Later 2.0-litre MX-5 models were available with both standard Advics and factory Brembo front brake systems, and the brake pads differ between these applications.

If the vehicle has red factory Brembo multi-piston front calipers, this is not the correct kit. For imported, modified or previously repaired cars, matching the part number or component style on the part being replaced is recommended.

Brake discs should be installed onto thoroughly cleaned and corrosion-free hub faces. Disc runout should be checked where appropriate, and all fasteners should be tightened to the correct Mazda torque specifications.

New pads and discs should be progressively bedded in according to EBC's current bedding procedure before sustained heavy braking.
