Fits Mazda MX-5 Mk4 / ND and RF 2.0 models from 2015-2025 using the 280mm solid rear brake discs with Sumitomo rear calipers. Not suitable for 1.5-litre models, which use a smaller 255mm rear disc.

Yellowstuff Brake Pads

EBC Yellowstuff is a high-friction performance brake pad designed primarily for fast-road use and higher-performance vehicles where increased braking capability is required. The compound provides strong braking performance from cold, allowing it to remain practical on a road-driven MX-5 while offering increased performance capability compared with a conventional everyday replacement pad.

The DP41775R pads are fully shimmed, chamfered and slotted and incorporate EBC's Brake-In™ surface coating to assist initial bedding. This application is ECE R90 approved.

EBC currently classifies this Yellowstuff application as a fast-road product rather than a dedicated track pad. Drivers building an MX-5 primarily for repeated circuit use may therefore wish to consider one of EBC's more track-focused compounds.

EBC Premium OE Replacement Brake Discs

The matching D2101 discs are EBC Premium plain brake discs designed as direct replacements for the original rear rotors. They retain the standard 280mm diameter, 10mm thickness and 4 x 100mm mounting arrangement of the compatible MX-5 ND 2.0 rear braking system.

The plain braking surface makes this kit a useful choice for customers wanting the additional friction characteristics of Yellowstuff pads without moving to a grooved, slotted or dimpled performance disc.

Fitment Advice:

This kit is specifically for the 2.0-litre MX-5 ND / RF rear braking system using 280mm solid discs and Sumitomo rear calipers.

The 1.5-litre MX-5 ND uses a smaller 255mm rear disc and requires a different EBC kit.

For imported, modified or previously repaired cars, matching the part number or component style on the part being replaced is recommended.

Rear brake discs should be installed onto thoroughly cleaned and corrosion-free hub faces. Care should also be taken when retracting the rear caliper pistons and servicing the parking-brake mechanism. All fasteners should be tightened to the appropriate Mazda torque specifications.

New pads and discs should be progressively bedded in according to EBC's current bedding procedure before sustained heavy braking.
