The Competition Clutch Stage 3 2600 Series is designed for performance-focused road and street/strip applications requiring substantially greater torque capacity than a standard clutch. It combines a performance pressure plate with a high-torque sprung clutch disc using segmented ceramic friction material, giving strong positive engagement while retaining a sprung hub to help manage drivetrain shock.

The clutch assembly is fitted between the engine and manual gearbox and transfers engine torque through to the transmission. One clutch kit is required per vehicle.

Replacement may be required due to clutch slip, worn friction material, poor engagement or when the standard clutch no longer provides sufficient torque capacity for a modified engine. This Stage 3 kit is particularly suited to higher-performance applications where an uprated clutch is required.

Fitment advice: This 10063-series kit is specifically intended for the 2.0L MX-5 NC fitted with the 6-speed manual transmission. It should not be selected solely on engine size where a different transmission is fitted. For imported, modified or previously repaired cars, matching the part number or component style on the part being replaced is recommended.

Other items to consider: When changing the clutch, you may also want to inspect or replace the flywheel as required and check the clutch release mechanism and hydraulic system for wear or leakage.

Installation notes: Ensure the flywheel friction surface is in suitable condition before installation and follow the correct tightening sequence and torque specifications when fitting the pressure plate. The clutch disc must be correctly centred before refitting the gearbox. Performance ceramic clutches have a more positive engagement characteristic than a standard road clutch and should be installed with this intended use in mind.
