RIDEX 3229S0084 Front Right Anti-Roll Bar Drop Link – MX-5 Mk3 NC

Replacement RIDEX front anti-roll bar drop link / stabiliser link for the right-hand side of Mazda MX-5 Mk3 / Mk3.5 / Mk3.75 NC 1.8 and 2.0 models.

Important handed fitment: This is specifically the front-right / UK offside component. It must not be fitted to the front-left position. The corresponding front-left RIDEX drop link is 3229S0049.

The drop link connects the front anti-roll bar to the suspension assembly. As the suspension moves, the link transfers force through the anti-roll bar to help resist excessive body roll and maintain controlled handling during cornering.

MX-5 fitment: MazSpec specifically confirms this right-hand link for all Mazda MX-5 Mk3/NC models, covering Mk3, Mk3.5 and Mk3.75 1.8 and 2.0-litre variants. This includes applicable Sport and 6-speed models.

Common replacement reasons: Knocking or rattling over uneven roads, looseness from the front suspension, excessive free play in the link joints, damaged joint boots, corrosion or wear identified during an MOT or suspension inspection.

Other items to consider: Inspect the corresponding front-left drop link, anti-roll-bar mounting bushes, suspension arms, ball joints, dampers and anti-roll bar itself. If both front links have similar age and mileage, replacing them as a pair is often sensible.

Installation notes: Raise and support the vehicle safely and remove the front-right road wheel where required for access. Support the suspension so the anti-roll bar is not excessively twisted. Apply penetrating fluid to seized fixings and use the appropriate internal holding feature if the joint pin rotates. Remove the worn link, inspect the surrounding mounting points, install the replacement in the same orientation and tighten all hardware to the applicable Mazda specification. Ensure the joint boots are not twisted or damaged before returning the vehicle to service.
