Replacement Exedy Stage 1 Organic clutch kit for Mazda MX-5 MK3 / MK3.5 / MK3.75 NC 2.0 models fitted with the 6-speed manual transmission listed in the compatibility table.

Designed for lightly modified, fast-road and track applications, the EXEDY Stage 1 Organic clutch provides increased torque capacity and improved heat resistance while retaining progressive engagement characteristics suitable for road use.

The clutch is fitted between the engine and gearbox and transfers engine torque through the flywheel into the transmission. This three-piece kit replaces the main clutch friction components and is specifically intended for MX-5 NC models using the 6-speed manual gearbox.

Clutch replacement may be required due to slipping under load, judder during engagement, difficulty selecting gears, release bearing noise or normal friction-disc wear. An uprated clutch is also a useful option on modified cars where additional torque capacity and heat resistance are required.

Fitment advice: ZK05H708 is specifically intended for the 6-speed manual gearbox. A different EXEDY kit is required for 5-speed MX-5 NC applications. For imported, modified or previously repaired cars, matching the part number or component style on the part being replaced is recommended.

Other items to consider: When replacing the clutch, inspect the flywheel, clutch fork and pivot components, gearbox seals and associated fixings. Gearbox oil is also worth considering while the transmission is removed.

Installation notes: Inspect the flywheel carefully before installation and replace or professionally resurface it where necessary.
