HEL Performance braided brake line kit for Mazda MX-5 Mk4 / ND and RF 1.5 and 2.0 models without the factory front Brembo brake upgrade as listed in the compatibility table.

MAZ-4-119 is a complete front-and-rear brake hose kit designed to replace the vehicle's flexible hydraulic brake hoses with HEL Performance stainless-steel braided lines. The kit contains four hoses covering the front and rear braking system.

HEL Performance brake hoses use a PTFE inner core reinforced by stainless-steel braid and protected by a PVC outer covering, together with stainless-steel fittings. The reinforced construction is designed to minimise hose expansion as hydraulic pressure increases, helping provide a firmer and more consistent brake-pedal response.

Braided brake hoses are commonly fitted when the original flexible hoses have deteriorated with age or as part of a brake-system refresh or performance upgrade. MAZ-4-119 is designed for the standard non-Brembo MX-5 ND braking configuration and covers both 1.5 and 2.0-litre applications.

Fitment advice: MAZ-4-119 is designed for the Mazda MX-5 ND / RF applications listed in the compatibility table where the vehicle retains the standard non-Brembo front brake configuration. Cars fitted with the factory front Brembo brake upgrade require the alternative HEL Performance MAZ-4-124 kit. For imported, modified or previously repaired cars, matching the vehicle generation, braking-system layout and hose kit reference is recommended before ordering.

Other items to consider: When changing the brake hoses you may also want to consider purchasing fresh brake fluid, replacement bleed nipples where required, brake cleaner and any related brake components showing signs of corrosion or wear.

Useful tools / consumables: Brake pipe spanners, suitable brake fluid, brake bleeding equipment, brake cleaner, protective gloves, axle stands and normal workshop hand tools are useful when carrying out this job.

Installation / bleeding notes: The brake hydraulic system must be bled after installation. Each hose should be routed without twisting and must remain clear of wheels, suspension and bodywork throughout the full steering and suspension range. Use the correct brake fluid for the vehicle and carefully check all hydraulic connections for leaks before use.
