Replacement Genuine Mazda rear brake disc dust shield for Mazda MX-5 Mk4 ND and RF models.
This pressed-steel shield is fitted behind the rear brake disc, between the rear wheel hub and suspension knuckle. It helps protect the brake disc, caliper, parking-brake mechanism and surrounding hub components from stones, dirt, road debris and direct water spray.
The shield also provides separation between the rotating brake disc and the surrounding suspension and hub components. Correct shape and alignment are important to maintain adequate clearance and prevent scraping or rubbing noises.
