Red Line specialist assembly lubricant for engine and drivetrain assembly, rebuild and pre-start lubrication applications where freshly assembled components require protection before normal oil circulation is established.

Red Line Assembly Lube is designed to coat potential wear surfaces during assembly, helping prevent metal-to-metal contact during initial start-up before adequate lubrication reaches newly assembled components.

It is suitable for lubricated assembly surfaces including camshafts, lifters or followers, pushrods, piston skirts, main bearings, connecting-rod bearings and suitable bolt threads. Red Line states that the formulation provides approximately three times the film strength of conventional black molybdenum-disulphide greases.

The formulation is designed to mix with engine oil after start-up rather than plugging the oil filter. It also provides strong rust and corrosion protection, making it useful both during assembly and where freshly machined or assembled components may be stored before use.

Fitment advice: Red Line Assembly Lube is application-based rather than vehicle-specific. Apply a thin protective coating to appropriate lubricated components during engine or drivetrain assembly.
