Replacement 450 mm / 18-inch RIDEX conventional windscreen wiper blade suitable for Mazda MX-5 Mk1/NA, Mk2/NB, Mk2.5/NB-FL, Mk3/NC and Mk4/ND/RF models where the corresponding 450 mm hook-fit blade is required.

The wiper blade removes rain, road spray and dirt from the windscreen to maintain driver visibility. Its rubber wiping edge follows the glass as the wiper arm moves across the screen, clearing water from the driver's field of vision.

Because windscreen blade lengths can differ between sides and may vary where non-standard wiper arms have been fitted, compare the existing blade length and confirm a compatible hook-type attachment before installation.

Other items to consider: Inspect the opposite wiper blade at the same time and replace it if the rubber is hardened, cracked or streaking. Also check the wiper arms, pivots, washer jets and windscreen-washer fluid level.

Useful tools / consumables: No specialist tools are normally required. A cloth or towel can be placed over the windscreen while the blade is removed to protect the glass if the sprung wiper arm is accidentally released.

Installation notes: Lift the wiper arm carefully away from the windscreen and place a protective cloth over the glass. Release the existing blade from the hook fitting and remove it from the arm. Compare the old and replacement blade lengths and attachment arrangements. Engage the pre-assembled adaptor with the wiper-arm hook until it locks securely into position. Lower the arm gently onto the glass and test the wipers with washer fluid to confirm smooth operation, correct retention and full windscreen contact.
