Red Line Lead Substitute is designed to help protect exhaust valve seats in older engines that have not been converted to hardened valve seats. This can be particularly relevant where an engine was originally developed to rely on the lubricating and protective properties associated with leaded petrol.

The formulation also helps clean deposits from carburettors and fuel injectors. Red Line states that the product is safe for catalytic converters. It is a lead substitute rather than an octane booster and should not be expected to increase the fuel’s octane rating.

Application advice: Add the appropriate measured quantity directly to the petrol fuel tank. One complete bottle treats up to approximately 95 litres, so reduce the dose proportionally for smaller fuel quantities.
