Red Line WaterWetter Super Coolant Additive – 355ml • 80234

Red Line concentrated cooling-system additive for cars, light commercial vehicles, competition vehicles, motorcycles, powersports vehicles, marine engines and other compatible liquid-cooled applications.

Red Line WaterWetter is designed to improve cooling-system heat transfer by reducing bubbles and the vapour barrier that can form against hot metal surfaces. This allows more effective contact between the coolant and the engine or radiator surfaces, helping the cooling system transfer heat more efficiently.

WaterWetter also provides rust and corrosion protection, helps reduce cavitation and scaling, and cleans and lubricates water-pump seals. It is suitable for cooling systems containing aluminium, cast iron, steel, copper, brass and bronze.

The additive is compatible with new or used ethylene-glycol and propylene-glycol antifreeze, including long-life coolant formulations. It may also be used with straight water in suitable racing applications or with reduced antifreeze concentrations in warm climates. WaterWetter contains no ethylene glycol and does not provide standalone antifreeze or freeze protection.

Each bottle contains 355ml / 12 US fl oz and treats approximately 13.2–15.9 litres. Larger cooling systems may require two bottles. For smaller cooling systems, Red Line recommends approximately 1 US fl oz, or three to four capfuls, per quart of system capacity.

Common reasons for use include improving cooling-system heat transfer, supporting temperature control during demanding road or track use, supplementing corrosion protection and treating a cooling system during a coolant service. WaterWetter cannot repair a blocked radiator, failed thermostat, defective water pump, combustion-gas leak, damaged head gasket or another mechanical cooling-system fault.

  • Product type: Concentrated cooling-system additive
  • Primary use: Improved heat transfer and cooling-system corrosion protection
  • Location / system: Engine or equipment liquid-cooling system
  • Brand: Red Line Synthetic Oil
  • Product reference / SKU: 80234
  • Container size: 355ml / 12 US fl oz
  • Treatment capacity: Approximately 13.2–15.9 litres per bottle
  • Small-system dosage: Approximately 1 US fl oz per quart of cooling-system capacity
  • Coolant compatibility: New or used ethylene-glycol and propylene-glycol antifreeze, including long-life formulations
  • Cooling-system materials: Aluminium, cast iron, steel, copper, brass and bronze
  • Corrosion testing: Satisfies ASTM D2570 and ASTM D1384 tests for glycol-based antifreezes
  • Additional functions: Helps reduce cavitation and scaling and lubricates water-pump seals
  • Composition note: Contains no ethylene glycol
  • Application note: Cooling-system additive only; not a complete antifreeze coolant

Application advice: Add WaterWetter to a compatible liquid-cooling system and measure the dose according to the system’s total capacity. One bottle treats approximately 13.2–15.9 litres. Smaller systems should use approximately 1 US fl oz per quart. Retain the coolant type and antifreeze concentration required by the vehicle or equipment manufacturer where freeze protection is required.

Other items to consider: When servicing the cooling system, you may also want to consider purchasing the correct antifreeze or premixed coolant, distilled or deionised water where required, a replacement radiator or pressure cap, thermostat, coolant hoses, hose clips, drain-plug seals and suitable workshop cleaning materials.

Useful tools / consumables: A graduated measuring container, coolant funnel or filling kit, drain pan, hose-clip pliers, protective gloves, eye protection, absorbent materials and equipment suitable for bleeding air from the cooling system.

Difficulty guide: DIY Difficulty: Easy to Moderate. Adding a measured quantity is straightforward, but a complete coolant change requires safe draining, refilling and bleeding of the cooling system.

Why Red Line? Red Line Synthetic Oil is known for high-performance lubricants, fluids and additives developed for demanding road, track and motorsport use. Red Line products are chosen by enthusiasts and workshops for their focus on protection, thermal stability, shift quality, friction control and application-specific performance.

What’s in the bottle: One sealed 355ml / 12 US fl oz bottle of concentrated Red Line WaterWetter Super Coolant Additive.

Service notes: Allow the engine and cooling system to cool fully before opening a radiator, header-tank or expansion-tank cap. Measure the additive according to cooling-system capacity, avoid overfilling and bleed the system using the appropriate procedure. WaterWetter does not provide standalone freeze protection and should not replace the required antifreeze concentration where the equipment may be exposed to low temperatures.
